Dans quelques jours c’est Noël et des milliards de personnes vont fêter la naissance du Christ en ce jour.
Mais Jésus est-Il vraiment né le 25 décembre ?
Saviez-vous que les Églises orthodoxes fêtent la naissance de Jésus le 6 Janvier ! La Bible ne précise pas quand Jésus est né !-L’Église institua la célébration de la naissance du Christ par la Nativité. en 354 !- Pour cela, elle choisit la date du 25 décembre afin de remplacer, sans trop choquer, une fête païenne qui célébrait à cette date-là le « Sol Invictus = Soleil de justice » - = la remontée du soleil après le solstice d'hiver avec le retour de la Lumière, ce qui correspond bien à la parole " Jésus, Lumière, né de la Lumière"
.A partir du 24-12- il y a une espèce de renaissance, les journées deviennent de plus en plus longues, la lumière prend le dessus.
l'Eglise décida de célébrer alors le "Dies natalis", = Noël, comme le jour de la naissance du véritable soleil levant !
Jésus est né à Bethléem. Ce fait est attesté par
Matthieu et Luc. Bethléem est la ville de naissance du roi David,et Jésus appartient à la lignée de David. Ensuite, le
recensement ordonné par l'empereur romain obligeait
tous les citoyens de Palestine à se rendre dans la ville
d'origine de leur famille pour s'y faire inscrire.
Les grandes traditions liées à Noël sont d’ailleurs, pour la plupart, d’origines païennes, et récentes, telles l’échange des cadeaux, le sapin, la bûche, etc.
Faut-il ne pas fêter Noël pour autant ? Le chrétien dira qu’il n’a pas besoin de Noël pour se souvenir de cela parce que c’est tous les jours qu’il s’en rappelle avec action de grâces.

besoins -et faites aux autres ce que vous aimeriez qu'on vous fasse. = règle d’or- Pour le
reste jésus ne voulait pas de gens qui suivent à la lettre la loi=S. Paul, la
lettre tue, et l’esprit donne la vie.

Now it has gone all arty. Under Fiat control, it is adapting some commercials from the Italian company. Here’s one that’s being used by its Lancia brand:
Homer replies, puzzled, ‘I … don’t … know!’
We have a Chrysler 300 looking very dated in this commercial, even if I agree with the sentiment. I am not convinced it’ll hold Americans’ attention that this is a new Chrysler and a new beginning.
I realize Chrysler needs to shift product now before new products arrive, and the quality, apparently, has been improved since the Daimler and Cerberus days. That message, which is pretty important to buyers, doesn’t come across that strongly.
The aligning of Chrysler to Lancia is not a bad idea. About ten years ago, I wrote that Ford should reconceive Mercury as a sort of American Lancia, so it seems Fiat has a similar idea. It’s just that commercials need not be clones when American consumers have different tastes from European ones.
Still, does this mean that some day we will see the First Lady of France, Carla Bruni, sell Chryslers?

Lalo Schifrin, composer of Mission: Impossible and Mannix, is still going strong at age 77. These were from a few years ago, and it shows that Mr Schifrin is as lively today as a pianist and conductor as he was in his prime.
One YouTuber described him as a ‘living legend’. The term seems very applicable here.
There’s still no rhyme or reason on when Vox allows me to access my blog here. This morning, I got in a private post, but clicking ‘Create’ again, nothing happened for the next hour.
I wanted to share this opening title from Bullitt, after posting another one from Pablo Ferro on my Tumblr blog. This remains my favourite Ferro design. Though set in Chicago, only the skyline scene was shot there; the rest was in San Francisco.
I see ’68 as a positive year for a lot of design there, while ’69 began to look garish, particularly in fashion and hairstyles.
I don’t know why I bother checking Vox every day under the old Jack Yan account. It blocked me for a full 24-hour period over Thursday and Friday, and it is still down now, though I managed to get in a couple of posts this morning.
Part of me wants it to continue because I have it linked from a lot of places, and it is “my” space, rather than Lucire’s.
And since we said nice things about the second-generation Toyota Prius in Lucire in 2004, it almost seems inappropriate to post the following on the first-generation model (as I did to Tumblr today):

Nothing much to blog—I am just seeing if Vox has fixed things. Turns out it hasn’t, though I am still wondering why on earth the three people who have been blocked to varying degrees are all oriental. A heck of a coincidence, but what are the odds?

At least I no longer have to wait hours, but I do have to wait minutes and several reloads to begin composing on Vox.
I have never traded DVDs before, but after buying that fancy Casino Royale set from Real Groovy, I didn’t need my old two-CD one any more. I also bought a five-movie James Bond set (left) a while back, which meant I had doubled up on one of my favourite Bond films, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. I took them in to Real Groovy.
How it works: one goes to the trades’ counter at the store and hands them over. The store gives you an option of store credit or cash.
The two DVD sets, which cost me around NZ$60 to buy to begin with, were worth NZ$12 used as store credit; NZ$6 if I wanted the money.
As I buy from Real Groovy all the time, I opted for the former, to which they issue a credit note, redeemable on a future purchase.
Sony has still done well out of me. While I only paid NZ$5 for the new Casino Royale boxed set—because of Real Groovy’s loyalty scheme—that’s still NZ$34 overall (NZ$35 purchase price for the first set, NZ$5 for the new one, minus NZ$6 for the trade). The five-movie set was NZ$39—let’s round it up to NZ$40 for easy calculation—which means each DVD was NZ$8. The original On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DVD was c. NZ$25, so that’s NZ$27 out of my pocket for the copy I have today.
I wonder if Vox has fixed things, because this compose screen took seconds to come up. It also took seconds after I clicked to edit the original post.

There’s one more left at the Warehouse in Lyall Bay, last I looked. Strangely, it means I only have the first set to get to have the whole series—and the last one I bought set me back a grand $5. Imagine if I could get the the remaining one for another $2.
Lew Grade has made plenty out of me, but not through Protectors DVDs.
